La baraja solar is a project developed by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung in Colombia, in collaboration with the design studio NN Project. The project aims to raise awareness about the energy crisis and the need for a transition to renewable energy sources.
This time, Setian was commissioned to create the interactive version of this tarot-like experience.
The project consists of a deck of cards that tells the story of the energy crisis through a series of illustrations and short texts. The cards are divided into four suits: resources, production, consumption, and alternatives. Each suit has a different theme, such as the depletion of fossil fuels, the environmental impact of energy production, the need for energy efficiency, and the potential of renewable energy sources.
The project was launched in May 2022 and has been well-received by Colombians. The cards have been used in educational workshops, community events, and public discussions. The project has also been featured in the media, including in the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo and the German magazine Der Spiegel.
La baraja solar is a creative and innovative way to raise awareness about a serious issue. The project has the potential to make a real difference in the fight against climate change.
