BEHIND THE SCENE

LEVITATION from SILA SVETA on Vimeo.

'Levitation' is a collaborative performance by Sila Sveta and Anna Abalikhina shown on the TV show 'Big Ballet'. All visuals were rendered in real time without any post production. Kultura Channel broadcast the second season of the show in winter 2016 in partnership with Sila Sveta. In addition to the technical and creative supervision, we staged 2 out of 7 single performances.

Collaborators Reuben Margolin, a kinetic sculptor and Gideon Obarzanek, a choreographer, met at the 2009 PopTech conference. They instantly bonded over the shared themes in their respective mediums and began creating a piece together called “Connected.” Their collaborative effort, a couple of years in the making, is now touring worldwide.

LIVING ROOM by recoil from Tina Tarpgaard on Vimeo.

LIVING ROOM is a room in motion, evoked not just by the dancers but also by an almost organically living video scenography. The floor gives in, the floor disappears – the space begins to breathe….
Creating a meeting between the human body and a motion sensitive scenography,
LIVING ROOM questions who is the puppet and who is the puppeteer – who controls who?
LIVING ROOM is nominated to Best Dance Performance of the year at the Danish Performing Arts Awards 2012.
